You can be assured we will go to any length and spare no effort to ensure our cumulative knowledge, skills, and experience are being applied to our young learners to give them the best Montessori education possible, and to do so with love, patience, and care!

The Montessori Education

Dr. Maria Montessori (1870–1952) firmly believed that the goal of early childhood education should not be to fill the child with facts from a pre-selected course of studies, but rather “to cultivate the child’s own natural desire to learn.” .

Montessori Curriculum

The Montessori classroom can be divided into specialized areas based on the learning that takes place there: Practical Life, Sensorial, Mathematics, Language, Geography, Music, and Art. To add to this, here at Lesco Montessori School we also promote peace and cosmic education

Child-Centered Classes

Montessori is mixed-aged three-year classroom. The Montessori method’s underlying approach is to allow each child to experience the excitement of learning through their own choices, rather than coercing them through rote learning, and to help the child perfect all of his or her natural tools for self-directed learning. This approach maximizes the child’s innate ability for all future learning situations.

The directress or director (educator) observes the individual child daily and determines when the child is ready for the appropriate materials. The progress each child makes on each material is rigorously kept.
